I recognize that pose from somewhere specific, but I'm not sure where.

I love that game.

I love the stylization of this. Very good.

Aw, this makes me smile. What a nice idea.

I look at the square guy in the middle and think "You're not supposed to be here."

Man, I love this.

This is amazing!! Spectacular, even.

A wise man once said, “We creators will not lose to A.I., because A.I. cannot imagine.”

An Artificial Intelligence may be able to produce an amalgam of visual noise that vaguely resembles the prompt you entered—but it won’t be perfect. And it especially won’t be perfect to your vision of the art you had in mind. And if you’re the kind of person who is extremely passionate about fulfilling said vision, then A.I. art is nothing but a neat toy to you.

Just imagine the sheer amount of generations you’d need to get something even remotely close to exactly what you had in mind—probably hundreds or thousands—only for that generation to not even look good in the first place.

The A.I. cannot be inspired, for it has no spirit. It has no soul. It has no emotional attachment to its artwork or its craft. It has no passion, no will. The A.I. does not create, for it only takes pieces of other creations and fuses them together into gelatinous blobs of uninspired garbage. You may argue that humans can do this too, but even then it at least has the benefit of being filtered and interpreted through the many facets of a unique human mind. Two sets of eyes can see the same thing in a different way, thanks to the brains to which they are attached. A.I. sees all art in the same way: as data. And nothing more than that.

The last 20+ years of your life have not been invalidated. Rather, they have been vindicated. Raw talent—raw skill—like that, built up for so long is quite literally irreplaceable. A.I. is no match for the raw ingenuity of the human mind. The A.I. is just that—artificial. It’s synthetic. It’s man-made. Besides, everything that an A.I. creates is just a piece of something that was already created by humans.

A.I. should not be our enemy, but rather, it should be our friend. It should keep us on our toes, challenging us to be more creative. It should be used to expedite tedious processes, almost like a calculator would. It should be used to augment pre-existing artwork—to compliment it—and create something truly special. And if you look closely, this is already being done.

Without a unique mind to create it, does “art” that is just pre-existing works mashed together into an uninspired mess even have the ability to be truly special at all? If each and every one of us switched to A.I. art today and stopped creating art ourselves, then the A.I. would run out of new material. Our own ingenuity is the only reason why it’s able to keep up.

Sorry for the long response, I really care about this kind of thing. I hope you feel better soon. Nice art, btw.

EDIT: also unrelated but, newgrounds is definitely not dead lol

Love these characters.
